Welcome to Style by Suzie. My mantra is to empower people through fashion by sharing my design and styling knowledge . It never ceases to amaze me that when a person looks at themselves and like what they see, they feel more confident and actually hold them selves differently and act with purpose.
I love helping people to reach their full potential and be their best possible self. I believe there is a style for every story and I enjoy taking that personal journey with every client.
We are all unique. We all have value. Everyone has parts of their body they do not like. There is no definite right or wrong in fashion as there are a myriad of trends out there. However if we choose wisely and dress to suit our figure types and wear the colours that enhance our features, we can make a great difference to how a person perceives themselves and how others may perceive them.

I have always loved fashion ever since I can remember. I was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia. My Mother was a fantastic sewer and often created some amazing clothing for me to wear (and my Barbie).
Things were different in the 60’s and 70’s. There were several mainstream shops and fewer boutiques which offered limited choices to the average shopper, so many women learnt to sew to get what they wanted from their wardrobe. Today our choice is the best it has ever been and the fashion world is at our fingertips.
I had several Aunties who could also design and sew and my older cousins owned several trendy boutiques in New South Wales. I used to love going to visit and they would let me work with them, allowing me to get an appreciation for fashion.
I learnt to sew from around the age of ten. I used to often design my own outfits and mum would help me to sew them. I enjoyed the sewing/pattern making side of Home Economics in high school and decided to further my studies in fashion.
